President Specifies Dates For Citizens to Send Korea Aid

WASHINGTON, June 7 (UP)- President Eisenhower today proclaimed June 7-13 as "Aid To Korea Week" and urged Americans to contribute as much as possible toward the war-wrecked nation's rehabilitation.

The President said restoration of South Korea and helping its "millions of injured, destitute, and homeless" will be a "monumental task."

ACTING ON a joint resolution of Congress Mr. Eisenhower said that the special designation for next week provides American opportunity to "demonstrate their friendship and affection for the distressed people of the Republic of Korea." South Korean civilians have suffered "crushing hardships as the result of the brutal attack" launched by the Communists in June, the President said.
